When I was invited to share an open studio with a friend, the phrase "Unleash the Energy" came to me in a dream just weeks before the event—serving as a powerful call to finally put forth the artwork that had lived inside me for so long. The show brought together my recent work, including newer pieces from my AbFab Collection, and a series of 5×7 collages that are small, bold statements.
The show image is built on a photograph I took looking into the window of a gallery on 10th Avenue in New York City. The image resonates with me because as I’m looking in at my reflection in the gallery space, I realize that this is where I want to land, but I’m aware of, and respect, the journey to get there.
