Welcome to This Studio! A collab between two college friends, that blends Joe Ordile’s expert craftsmanship and eye for vintage finds, with the vibrant artwork and pattern designs from Ceil Diskin Studio. The result is pure magic—each piece is truly a one-of-a-kind creation.

Origin story … Joe was already tuning up fantastic finds into decorative treasures with his This Was That refurbishing and upcycling business.
Ceil had a trove of patterns and designs from her former textile biz, Chez. Joe got the idea that an antique ‘gossip chair’ would look cool with Ceil’s artwork on it,
painted in bright colors to match, approached Ceil with this brainstorm, she made a mockup and the collab was born!
What should we name it? Let’s take your business name and mine and smush them together … THIS [was that] [Ceil Diskin] STUDIO—like that.
And that’s how This Studio was born. Now here’s a peek at the collection …
