René is from the WallpaperCollage series, developed from using printed pattern samples of my original wallpaper designs as backgrounds to layer mixed media collages on top of. These unique, textured compositions combine abstract shapes, vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and fragments of drawings and paintings, forming visual narratives that invite personal interpretation.
This small-scale collage was dramatically scaled up for for the Starz miniseries Run the World and made into wallpaper for the kitchen of one of the show's main characters—René. A star turn for a little collage that also makes a fabulous large-format print!
