I love to combine elements from disparate sources and weave them together into a new story. And each of the elements carries its own provenance—from a different place, time, era of my life—so it is their unique combination that makes the story of the piece so specific.
The elements here, start out with the background, which is a photograph of a fountain in Rome, printed in blue on a silver background. The butterflies on the right are from a photo shoot I did at the Gucci Garden in Florence in 2018, the layered patterns are all original designs and the 391 was my ticket at the car wash.
