I had a career as an art director, working in the corporate world in New York City for many years. There was often a repetitive feeling about different points in the days or weeks, like time markers in a sea of sameness. Tuesday afternoons sometimes felt like floating islands of tasks, meetings, trips around the office, picking things up, dropping things off, etc.
And now that I’ve left that lifestyle behind, and am making art in my studio instead, I wanted to make a piece that was filled with the gratitude that now I can do just that.
This is a colorful collage composed of many different patterns, drawings, and bits of painted moments.
