Sevens

$300.00

Sevens is from the Collage Wallpaper series, developed from using printed pattern samples of my original wallpaper designs as backgrounds to layer mixed media collages on top of. These unique, textured compositions combine abstract shapes, vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and fragments of drawings and paintings, forming visual narratives that invite personal interpretation.

A playful, slightly tipsy landscape layered on top of patterned wallpaper. An abstract vision of the Irish hills, the Scottish moors, or a tucked-away Swiss mountainside is loosely blocked into two vertical fields—offering a sense of depth against an otherwise flattened plane. Two bold, scarlet forms slash across the composition—aiming into a jagged mountain shape, alive with expressive sketch-like markings.

The result is regal and unpredictable, with a touch of intentional disorder. There’s a stately elegance to the structure, yet it’s tinged with looseness and spontaneity. Sevens hints at an imagined history and suggests a pastime rooted in fun.
