This collage was built from elements that I had gathered throughout the year and transformed, with spontaneous intentions, into thoughtful, layered and expressive artworks, shaped by both memory and fresh inspiration along the way.
My birthday is in the Summer, and when I was a child my Mom made birthday parties for me in the backyard around a picnic table. This piece evokes the happy energy of a children’s birthday party with games, and cake and presents in the warm sun. The vibrant color palette and playful shapes tell a story of celebration.
