The Wallpaper Collage series emerged from layering mixed media compositions onto printed samples of my original wallpaper designs. These richly textured works blend abstract forms, vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and fragments of drawings and paintings—creating visual narratives that invite open interpretation and emotional connection.

René began as a small-scale collage, composed of swatches from my original wallpaper patterns. But her quiet strength caught the eye of the set designer for the Starz miniseries Run the World. The piece was dramatically scaled up and made into wallpaper for the kitchen of one of the show's main characters—René. A star turn for a little collage that also makes a fabulous large-format print!

There are two wallpaper patterns, stacked and scaled, that are balanced by hand-drawn and painted patterns. The palette is soft with neutral pastels, defined by a bold black and white design and punctuated with a magenta triangle and an emerald squiggle.
